Sea point system!

Ok I had a long chat with Taelic & Rayana, and we found out a point system that would be perfect for old & new members!

How it works?

You can choose 1 main item to lot on, and 2 sub items.

You get 0.5 point for being on time. 1 point for being longer then 2hrs in sea and 0.5 point extra for a full run. Which makes a maximum of 2 points / run.

The point system will work with a dividing system. If you win a main lot, your points will be divided by +1. If you win a sub lot, your points will be divided by +0.5.
The person with highest points @ mainlot > all.
If there are no mainlotters in sea, or no mainlotters on that item, the person with highest points @ sublots > all.
HUUUH WHAAT?!! CONFUSSED??!!

Finalfreak 10 points (Divided 1) = Total of 10 points Shynx 10 points (Divided 1) = Total of 10 points NEXT RUN Finalfreak & Shynx did a full run, and Finalfreak won a mainlot!! Finalfreak 12 points (Divided 2) = Total of 6 points Shynx 12 points (Divided 1) = Total of 12 points NEXT RUN Finalfreak & Shynx did a full run, Shynx AND Finalfreak won the same sublot, but Shynx has most points, so he won the item!! Finalfreak 14 points (Divided 2) = Total of 7 points Shynx 14 points (Divided 1.5) = Total of 9.33 points NEXT RUN Finalfreak & Shynx did a full run, Shynx won a mainlot!! Finalfreak 16 points (Divided 2) = Total of 8 points Shynx 16 points (Divided 2.5) = Total of 6.4 points

These only counts for torques/capes/AV items!!!
The weapons are 100% drop and can be freelotted by persons who can wear it! (You won't be charged a 0.5 or 1 on weapons)
You neither won't be charged a 0.5 or 1 when a torque/cape/AV items goes freelot!

This system is weird Finalfreak... I hear you say? Well, this system has been tested in Bananasplit & it's still being used. People who come a lot to sea, will have got like 4-5 items already, but their points will be divided by 4-5 too.
If a new members joins the shell, he has at least a change to get an item without waiting 5 months for people who have 50 + points.

For me this system works perfect. I hope you guys like it too! ^^

as in... the +1/+.5 is permanent and adds up for every time you win an item?

So...
1 item (main) won => /2
2 item (main) won => /3
3 item (main) won => /4

and so on?

If you are in sea a fairly long time, you will have about 4-5 items already. So your points will be divided a bit harder prolly. So it's for you to decide! You want the smaller items first and pick capes as mainlot to start with.
Or do you want to store points for novio earring and have patience on all the other items? It's yur choise!

Looks like a great system, even moreso because it's been used and tested.

I think that the Leaders of PR should have a talk with the Leader(s?) of Bananasplit to first of all ask he/she/them if we can use this system (they came up with it and not asking would be kinda like stealing) and to find out if there has been any unforseen issues with the system that we'll have to watch out for.

i dont think they'll care about us copying the system. if it's a good system worthy of being replicated, they should feel complimented . but yeah, issues with the system is important to take into account

well, i didn't copied it rly.
It's a mix of 2 systems.
BS don't use main / sub lots, neither the 1 / 0.5 system.
The only system they use is dividing your points & you can lot whatever.
So it's BASED on their system, but it's more detailed then theirs i think

oh, np then. I guess only time will tell if there are any problems with this new system, can't think of any problems with it for now, which annoys me a bit (No system can be perfect I tells ya!).

Hey all =)

Just a though and not sure exactly where it should be, so feel free to throw this somewhere else if need be. I guess Sea time is coming up so is there going to be a thread where we can post our main and sub lots for items? I'm guessing everyone who's wanting to do this has probably already decided WHAT items they wanna lot for, but be nice to see what everyone wants and an idea where on the list we'll all be.

Gonna run, wanna level BST some more so if the Temperance Axe drops I'm in with a chance =P
